The meters that run your session

Two meters in the bottom-left of the HUD track hunger and thirst. Let either empty and you drift toward starvation or dehydration — the official onboarding makes eating and drinking regularly one of Doric's first lessons, and it stays true for the whole game.

The loop that feeds the meters is a skill loop: Fishing and Farming pull raw ingredients, Cooking turns them into meals, and raw gathers can be cooked on the fly at a campfire or grill.

Food has power levels

Not all meals are equal: food carries its own power levels, so better ingredients matter as regions get deadlier — and food is a consumable every boss attempt relies on. Keep the cooking tier matched to the region you're fighting in before a world boss push.

The cooking line scales through stations: a campfire handles basics, the grill handles grilled dishes, and the cooking range is the endgame kitchen. Farming plots and fishing spots are the supply lines behind all of it.

The meta layer: XP food
