Foundations

Train Mining and Woodcutting firstGathering feeds Artisan, Construction and Cooking — "what you do is what you become".
Build a base and a bed (Construction)
Get a food supply going (Cooking)Food powers boss fights, and food has its own power levels.

The boss ladder

Dragon Slayer: gather dragon skull teeth, bloodwood sap and 5 bronze barsCraft the horn, bring antipoison, then blow it at the dragonkin altar at Velgar’s Rise.
Defeat Velgar (PL 4)Always drops Velgar’s Head + 30–40 Ascension Shards.
Start Mystic Forge core crafting with Ascension Shards
Withering Heights → defeat Imaru (PL 5)Quest from the Wise Old Man near Ashien’s Watch; re-collect curse fragments for rematches.
Black Knight’s Fortress → defeat the Black Knight Titan (PL 6)Bring crush or Water damage — don’t rely on slash or stab.
Icthlarin’s Little Helper → defeat Fuzan (PL 7)He hunts at night in Umbral Sands; no known weakness.
Clear the Fight Caves at The Burning SpireThirty waves with Fuzan at the end.
